Mahmoud Kahil, editorial cartoonist for
Mahmoud Kahil, editorial cartoonist for the Arab News, has passed away following heart surgery. Charles Johnson, who brought Kahil's often tasteless (and occasionally anti-Semitic) work to light, chooses not to speak ill of the dead, and wonders what Kahil could have done with his talent under different circumstances. As do I.
A few of his readers are making "good riddance" comments, but the tone in the LGF comments section has more respectful than what one would expect. (It couldn't be any different from, say, the IndyMedia open newswire.)
