Ah, a festival of Ted Rall bashing...that takes me back

It's kind of funny that Ted Rall's latest psycho rant is getting bashed on LGF today, becuase I was thinking of Rall - who still proudly bills himself as author of Gas War, which "proves" Bush bombed Afghanistan so Unocal could build a pipeline across the country for oil from the Caspian sea - when I came across this story earlier today:

Environmentalists and human rights activists said on Tuesday they will launch a legal challenge to a BP BP.L -led oil pipeline from the Caspian to the Mediterranean at the European Commission if it is allowed to go ahead.

The campaigners, who are challenging the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, say the project compromises human rights and environmental protection, and violates Turkey's accession agreements for entry into the European Union.
[...]
BTC also includes Unocal UCL.N , Statoil STL.OL , Azerbaijan's SOCAR and French, Japanese and Turkish firms.

It's over 18 months since the fall of the Taliban, and not only is Unocal not involved with any Afghan pipeline project, they're actually a partner in a competing pipeline which doesn't even go through Afghanistan.

Honest to God, will these freakazoids ever admit they're wrong?
