Are you ready for some voting?

Today's the big day. For any Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who haven't voted yet, polling information can be found at the Elections Newfoundland and Labrador website - which, in an example of wonderful timing, is down as of this posting.

I don't believe voting should be mandatory (as in a few countries, most notably Australia). However, if you don't vote but get pissed off about the direction the province takes over the next four years, well, too friggin' bad. You had your chance, and you chose not to use it.

I'll be working on Tom Marshall's campaign this afternoon, so posting will be light until tomorrow morning. In the meantime, here's my final, official, election prediction:

PC - 38 seats
Liberals - 9
NDP - 1

Finally, Newfoundland political junkies should check out the CBC Archive page with lots of old TV footage and radio clips from past Newfoundland elections, going back to the height of the Smallwood era.
