Too true
Tim Blair: "The antiwar left believes that George W. Bush tried to feed a plastic turkey to US troops, but giggles incredulously at the notion of a fascist regime feeding dissidents into shredders."
I swear to God, some of these people are just one step removed from Holocaust deniers. (Remember this?) In the meantime, Sky News says a videotape has emerged showing Saddam cavorting with members of a terrorist organization:
New footage has been released purporting to show Saddam Hussein paying large sums of money to a terrorist group.
Liberal Democrat peer Baroness Nicholson says the footage is "incontrovertible proof" of the former Iraqi dictator's links to international terrorism.
It appears to show the former Iraqi President plotting crimes and paying money to members of an international terrorist group.
Baroness Nicholson says the group of men in the footage looked after Saddam's chemical and biological warfare.
The footage given to Sky News was reportedly looted from one of Saddam's palaces.
Sky adds that the video cannot be authenticated, and their story is pretty light on details. (Who are these terrorists, exactly?) But Saddam's link to Islamofascist killers - especially in the Palestinian territories - is well-known.
Stories like these should have settled the "Saddam and terrorists" issue a long time ago. That people still dispute it can only mean it's not terrorism if only Israelis get killed. But that's another rant.
