Triumph poops on Quebec

Trimuph the Insult Comic Dog (from Late Night With Conan O'Brien, taping in Toronto this week) thrashed everything in sight at the Quebec Winter Carnival, and the nation is having an existential meltdown.

A question for my American readers: when Triumph did this on his trip to Hawaii a few months ago, did it rate even a passing mention in the New York Times?

Update: Tim Blair says The Simpsons generated similar outrage in Australia a few years ago. (Canadians were outraged when the Simpsons visited Toronto - because after all the hype, only the third act actually took place in Canada.)
