Good riddance
Achille Lauro hijacker Abu Abbas, who had been hiding out in Baghdad until the fall of Saddam (no, I don't see how that's possible either, since everyone knows Saddam Hussein had no links to terror), has died in US custody. And not surprisingly, Abbas's "Palestine Liberation Front" says he was murdered.
If Abbas had been strapped to a wheelchair, shot in the head and then thrown into the sea, then I'd agree he was murdered. And to be honest, I'd be cool with it. (Never forget, by the way, that then-Italian PM Bettino Craxi, a socialist, allowed Abbas to flee the country after he was captured.)
Update: the "sneer" quotes in this "news" story from Baba Wawa Al Bawaba, whose editors simply resfuse to believe Abbas is really "dead", have to be "seen" to be "believed". (via "Meryl")
