Hamas hides

Hamas says it has appointed a new leader to replace Abdel Aziz Rantisi - but they aren't giving his name:

Sources inside the military wing of Hamas confirmed Sunday that the group has appointed a leader to replace Rantisi.

The organization was deliberately keeping the man's identity a secret to protect him, according to the leader of the Damascus-based fundamentalist movement, Khaled Mashaal.

Strange. For people who brag about how they're willing to die for the noble cause of killing Jews (and gettin' eternal nookie in the afterlife), they sure turned chicken pretty quickly.

Update: Tonecluster has an excellent post refuting the most common arguments against Israel's assassination policy. The movie Mystery Men is mentioned. (About Mystery Men: has there ever been another movie with so many hilarious individual scenes that turned out to be so bad as a whole?)
