Thomas Crown wanted for questioning
Edvard Munch's The Scream was stolen from an Oslo museum earlier today.
Normally I could care less about art, but this is one of the few paintings I've heard of. What amazes me is how little security they had for The Scream, even though it had been stolen ten years ago:
"What's strange is that in this museum, there weren't any means of protection for the paintings, no alarm bell," [French radio producer] Castang told France Inter radio.
"The paintings were simply attached by wire to the walls," he said. "All you had to do is pull on the painting hard for the cord to break loose -- which is what I saw one of the thieves doing."
