The longest journey begins with one small step

Tomorrow is election day in Afghanistan. As recently as September, 2001, I never thought I'd find myself writing that sentence.

There are those who want the election to go well, and those whose animosity toward the Bush Administration is so great that they're secretly - or not so secretly - hoping it fails. You know who you are.
