Afghanistan, after decades of war and oppression, swore in its first democratically elected President the other day. Here's how the Guardian's Steve Bell commemorated the occasion.

Never mind the sheer callousness of it all - if anyone can tell me what that cartoon is supposed to mean, send me an e-mail at the address on the upper right-hand side of the page. Anyone have the stomach to go through Bell's archives to see if he's ever portrayed, say, Osama bin Laden in this fashion?
