Tivo for the internet

As I mentioned a few days ago, David Janes has invented an application which allows you to "record" radio programs from the internet. You can even set up a timer to tape the same show every day. As with every other computer program, it took me a while to figure it out (Janes quickly answered my anguished cries for help via e-mail, and all the problems turned out to be of the forgot-to-plug-it-in variety), but now that I have it working I think it's the greatest invention since the time machine. (Time machines don't exist, you say? That's what they want you to think.)

Among other things, I'll never have to miss Lileks on the Hugh Hewitt show again. That alone makes the program indispensible.
