War Drumming

War drums are beating. Again. Iran. Especially now that Iran's President is openly seeking nuclear arms with which to threaten some and burn others.

I fully accept Mr. Ledeen's assertion that "[the] proper debate has still not been engaged, and the administration's failure to lead it bespeaks a grave failure of strategic vision". There are political realities on the ground here at home that alter our capacities to act in the region. The war is, then, properly engaged at home as well as in theatre.

I fault the Administration for failure to communicate a bold vision. Relying on lone voices like Mr. Ledeen's and a handful of "chickenhawk" blogs to get out the message is negligence in the extreme.

Agree or no on the vision, but one can hear the drums again. One or two, but it's getting louder.

Caveat: This post does not necessarily reflect the views of Daimnation! or it's guest bloggers.
