Iran & Kurd Update

Via the Telegraph: UK Government is discussing the possibility of a military operation against Iran's nuclear installations.

This reviewer's take on the Telegraph's item is that the British Government's action provides valued psychological pressure on the mullahcrats. Iran's leadership is under increasing threats from within; hence the regime's external posturing. (Tip o' the hat to Cap'n Ed.)

For example, via the Washington Times: Teheran faces growing Kurdish opposition. (Those uppity Kurds!) The Kurds are hardly Iran's biggest internal threat.

Michael Ledeen at NRO: Iran Is at War With Us offers a broader perspective on the internal Iranian situation. Dr. Ledeen's scholarship on Iran and Iraq is highly recommended reading. (His OuiJa board discussions with James Jesus Angleton, too. Thanks for the larfs, Doc! Not many writers can be deadly serious and leave one in stitches.)

Speaking of larfs, there's this bit of comic relief from WaPo: Attacking Iran May Trigger Terrorism. Pardon my incredulity...
