Canadian Natives: Move them to where the jobs and services are

Kashechewan to Timmins. As long as so many of our reserves are in the middle of nowhere, with no possible viable economy (and living off land and resource rents is not the way to any real improvement; free money never is), our Natives will be living third world lives (with ATVs). Simple as that.

Damian adds: this week I'm in Labrador, which is as good a place as any to see the happy results of Canadian policy toward natives. The fact that government officals can talk about moving them, en masse, says a lot about the state they're in today - and the attitude that got them there in the first place.
