As long as it's a Harvey's Angus Burger (and not Weetabix)

Stephen Harper may not be that scary or angry after all:

Apparently it is or was National Hamburger Day and, to celebrate, the pollsters at Ipsos-Reid have found that more Canadians would like to sit down and have a burger with Stephen Harper than any other federal political leader:

Ipsos asked 1,000 Canadians “Which of the following would you be most likely to invite to have a burger with you?”. And here are the results:

1. Stephen Harper – 35 per cent
2. Jack Layton – 23 per cent
3. Elizabeth May – 17 per cent
4. Stephane Dion – 16 per cent
5. Gilles Duceppe – 8 per cent...

Unfortunately, Mr Harper's hamburger poll numbers are identical to the political poll numbers. But M. Dion is way down burger-wise. Actually he's a Weetabix kind of citoyen; Want to have a bowl with Stéphane?

Just noticed Harvey's actually sponsored the poll!

Hot dog update (via Canadian Blue Lemons):

...It seems that when Stéphane Dion touched down in Winnipeg last month [March], he and his entourage popped by North End mega-icon Kelekis for lunch. There, Dion shocked locals and his handlers by eating Kelekis’s world-famous hot dog with — gasp! — a knife and fork...
