Update: well, surely the driver of a Chinese SUV - specifically, a copy of an established Japanese vehicle, the Isuzu Rodeo - would fare considerably better, right? Um...no:

I'm sure the Chinese will get the hang of this car-building thing eventually - everyone laughed at the first cars exported from Japan and Korea, after all - but it's going to take a while. A long while.
