Conspiracies and the collapse
Federal officials almost immediately ruled out terrorism as a cause of the Minneapolis bridge collapse, and it's hard to see how this disaster would help the Bush Administration politically, so how on earth can the conspiracy crowd fit this into their worldview? Here's the theory I've seen on a few sites:
Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration has been advancing a plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.[...]
I don’t contend this collapse was intentional, but I do see this as an opportunity, convienient to the Bush administration’s plans. Let’s keep our eyes on this for longer than a day or two…
Well, it's kind of obvious now, isn't it?
