At least it wasn't a cartoon
A Canadian Press reporter shakes her head (while the Toronto Star headline is economical with the truth):
'Mosque' fails to make Gemini cut[...]
Little Mosque was a ratings saviour for the CBC last year and its light-hearted portrayal of Muslim life in a post-9-11 world made headlines around the world.
While it received Gemini nominations for best direction in a comedy program (Michael Kennedy for The Convert) and best writing in a comedy series (Alan Rae for The Convert), it evidently failed to capture the imagination of Gemini voters and didn't make the cut in several categories, including best ensemble performance in a comedy program...
I guess there just weren't enough converts amongst those doing the nominating. As for cartoons...(via ThePolitic.com).
