The Economist's "Books of the year"

To my mind a much more interesting list (50) than the others noted here.

The only books in common with the NY Times and Washington Post are two pieces of fiction, The Yiddish Policemen's Union and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Weird that there are zero non-fiction matches and that the fiction ones are a children's fantasy and a quirky counter-factual detective story.
