Warren on the warpath

He doesn't take criticism well, does he?

So, there we were in the Rayman's land barge Tuesday morning, speeding West, and I was reading aloud some of the comments on (yet another) thing about me on the Small Brain-dead Animal's web site. And, um, we were laughing our asses off. Couldn't help it.

I know, I know: I'm an adult now (as sang our friend and fellow former Alberta punk pal, Moe Berg), and I should know better. I shouldn't torture defenceless reptiles. "But I can't help myself," I told the Rayman. "I love poking a stick between the bars in their cage, and watching 'em squeal and squeak. It's better than sports!"

There's no more than a few dozen of them across the Great White North - wearing camouflage jammies and George Dubya T-shirts, sitting in the dark in Mom's basement, drinking lots of fizzy pop and eating big bags of pork rinds. Drawing from a Rolodex of pseudonyms, they type out post after post of anti-gay, anti-women, anti-Muslim, anti-Liberal, anti-Obama, anti-Democrat, anti-government, anti-United Nations, anti-just-about-everything-thing-you-can-think-of crap. Spit-flecked and jam-packed with spelling and grammatical errors. The closest they've been to a woman in a decade is the big Dukes of Hazzard poster above their bed, the one with Jessica Simpson's Republican ass prominently featured.

Pardon my French, folks, but they're frigging losers. Until the Internet came along, no one knew they existed, much less cared. They'd pump gas somewhere, and then scrawl anti-immigrant stuff in the mortar cracks in the bathroom during their break. You know, the bathroom they're supposed to be cleaning.

It's always enlightening to see what lefties really think about people who perform menial work, isn't it? The irony-challenged Kinsella then links to a NOFX song which promotes hatred of Red-State Americans (I'm using Warren's definition of "promoting hatred" here, which - if this is any indication - basically means "anything that hurts your feelings").

Who's laughing at whom?

Damian P.

Update: it gets better: the YouTube video featured in Kinsella's post also features NOFX, this time singing a little ditty called "Kill All The White Man".

The guy has an exquisite sense of irony, doesn't he?
