A joke too far
That purported Holocaust-survivor tattoo, prominently displayed on Warren Kinsella's site this past weekend? It turns out to have a somewhat more mundane explanation.
As a rule, I have no problem with making Warren Kinsella look foolish. (These days, frankly, he doesn't need much help.) But this one really left a bad taste in my mouth. Some SDA commenters are responding that Kate never told Warren it was a concentration-camp tattoo, but c'mon. With left-wing bloggers trying to portray Keith Martin and his blogosphere supporters as neo-Nazi sympathizers, why on earth is Kate giving them this kind of ammunition?
I'm sure Kate's intent was to make Kinsella look ridiculous, not to make light of the Holocaust. But if some "anti-Zionist" blogger pulled the same kind of trick on me, I know what conclusions I'd be inclined to draw. This was completely uncalled for.

Update: Ezra Levant doesn't believe the prank was anti-semitic, but concedes that it was "in questionable taste."
