Pray for Swayze

According to The National Enquirer (yeah, I know) he has pancreatic cancer. (via wwtdd.com)

Say what you like about the guy, but he did make some of the best cheesy movies of the 1980s - Road House, Point Break (a 1991 release, but an '80s movie at heart) and the almighty Red Dawn - not to mention the Saturday Night Live sketch that left an indelible stamp on my generation. Plus, he always seemed like a nice guy who never took himself too seriously. What a pity.

If the story isn't true, Swayze is the new Abe Vigoda.

Update: Perez Hilton - is he more or less credible than the Enquirer? - says it's true.

Update II: his publicist confirms the diagnosis but says Swayze is doing pretty well.
