True North Strong... and Sued?

What's with Warman, Kinsella & Co.? Can't they simply live and let live? When one can't win in the arena of ideas, must one destroy the opposition, good sirs?

Hats off to Connie Fournier, Tristan Emmanuel, Mark Steyn and those of all persuasions who simply wish to exercise the God given right of freedom of expression. As the saying goes, if you're taking flak, it's probably over something important.

In its simplest terms, Conservatism is defined as defending individual freedoms. Why some fear freedom is for another day, but how some would attack freedom is a hot topic. Using law suits and phony "human rights" based charges is the most cowardly form of argumentation imaginable. The moral hypocrisy of such an approach is staggering... especially when the plaintiffs rant on and on about protecting the weak and the underprivileged.

So "open minded". So... "diverse". Right. Whenever I hear the term "progressive" I think "oncology".

Damian adds: if you speak out against Guantanamo Bay, that doesn't mean you're promoting terrorism. But if you speak out against the human-rights prosecution of Marc Lemire, you're "promoting" him and his views. Funny how that works, isn't it?
