Steyn gets paid for this?

Mark Steyn's best weapon is his rapier-like wit.

Aidan Maconachy (gladly, it seems) pops his head up and SHWOP! (Thump!), off it comes. Then again, SHWOP! (Thump!). Once more for good sport - SHWOP! (Thump!) (Someone! Pour some sand on the floor.)

What bugs me is that Steyn gets PAID to have fun & larfs... "Give it up, man. You're making yourself look ridiculous. If you're that desperate to write about me and my book, we'll send you a review copy. Usually, my publisher sends out the review copy before the review's been written, but in your case we'll make an exception."
