Dang, I'm old

Skippy, in a post about the elusive new Guns N' Roses album:

Here’s a little bit of context on how long W. Axl Rose has been out of commission. When his last albums or original material, Use Your Illusion I & II were released in September of 1991, Stone Temple Pilots were playing clubs in San Diego. Since then; both the original Guns N’ Roses and STP broke up, Scott Weiland joined a band with Slash, Duff and Matt Sorum, and released two records before Weiland was kicked out of Velvet Revolver and rejoined Stone Temple Pilots for their first tour in six years.

When Use Your Illusion was released, I was 21. Now I’m 38. When those albums came out, Axl was 29. Now he’s 46. It’s been a goddamned long time.

I was 17, and now I'm 34. I bought the Use Your Illusion albums on cassette, and I'd never even heard of the internet. Now, get off my lawn.
