It's a trap!
Attacks on Sarah Palin's "inexperience" are exactly what the McCain campaign wants, according to Tyler Cowen:
...The more the word "experience" is repeated, no matter what the context, the more it will hurt Obama. Palin needs to appear confident and capable on TV and in the debates, but her ticket is not going to lose votes if she cannot properly spell Kyrgyzstan or for that matter place it on a map.
It's certainly disingenuous for Obama supporters to scream bloody murder about a President-in-waiting who's only been in public life for a few years. On the other hand, they can argue that Obama's Presidential campaign - which, so far, has survived everything the Clintons and the GOP could throw at it - gives us some idea of his toughness and intelligence.
Debates aren't everything, but everyone expects Obama to hold up pretty well when he squares off against McCain. I am not so confident about Palin debating the very experienced Joe Biden. McCain's pick looks good now, but I don't think it will look so smart come November.
