Coming in 2009: Augusto, starring Edward James Olmos

From an interview with director Steven Soderbergh, whose four-hour, two part biography of Robert Mugabe, Bob, is opening in limited release:

Why make “Bob”? What relevance does it have to 2008?

"We’re certainly seeing the result of what happens when the British imperialist white devils control everything. That can’t sustain, because it’s magical thinking. It can’t go on indefinitely, because eventually it crashes, and they resort to spreading cholera. Bob’s dream of an African-controlled society, a society that isn’t built on the profit motive, is still relevant. The arguments still going on are about his methodology."

This is a parody, but real life tends to catch up to parody pretty quickly.
