On Iran, Israel, Ahmadinejad and the concept of free speech, Adams has outed himself as a black hole of stupefying ignorance.
But being regarded as smirkingly 'edgy' and 'controversial', I suppose, is worth being unmasked as a simpleton. It works for Jon Stewart.
As for "Israel’s influence on American foreign policy" see these reviews of the Mearsheimer and Walt book:

"Sometimes it feels as if the Palestinians are only one Gandhi away [sic!!]"
Um, wasn't Ghandi murdered by a Catholic? No; Hang on - a Jew? Oh, I remember... He was murdered by Zoroaspirins.
He might mean Indira Ghandi.
Cheers
"Israel’s best interests dictate keeping the neighbors too economically weak to purchase expensive weapons"
Uh... how exactly has it done that? By blasting them with a Super-Duper Instant Poverty Ray? Is that by any chance what the US used on Mexico to keep them so poor and backward? Do tell.

People like Scott Adams (or John Baglow) don't think twice about this sort of thing. For example, how is it the only country on earth the Left typically demands divestment from happens to be the only one run by Jews? They can wear Che t-shirts and do business with every tyranny on the face of the earth, but that little potato chip size democracy in the Middle East drives them absolutely batty.
"...how is it the only country on earth the Left typically demands divestment from happens to be the only one run by Jews?"
Of course, according to some of the nutsos on both the far left and far right, the U.S. is also run by the Jews.
What really drives them batty is the fact that, of 750 Nobel Prizes awarded to 2006, 158 have been to Jews. [External Link]
Mark: Mearsheimer was interviewed on The Current last week. What an asshole. As expected, Tremonti gave him an easy ride.
Heh. Adams is getting quite the drubbing in his comments section. That's always nice to see.

Hear that? ... That was the sound of my Dilbert desktop calendar hitting the bottom of the garbage can (no, not the recycle bin!)
I will now happily ignore the little fart and the rest of his "art" for the remainder of my life.
JMH; Re "Indira". Not likely.
a) She was no peace loving wuss.
b) the the one-word "Ghandi" is universally understood to mean Mahatma Ghandi, in the same way as other iconic figures, eg. Churchill, Kennedy, etc. If he'd meant Indira, he'd have specified. The Mahatma wasn't always such a peacenik himself...
"It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence."

Hey John, she's only human. The tough questions are reserved for Anna's ideological enemies. Kindred leftists get their soft ball questions e-mailed to them in advance.
