My admiration for Coyne is qualified. Sometimes he is outright goofy, as in the issue about prisoners getting the privilege to vote. Coyne reasoned that the Charter says "person" and a prisoner is a "person," ergo they have a constitutional right to vote. And an infant is a "person" too. Coyne should stick to politics and avoid embarrassing himself as a tyro in jurisprudence.
