Comments: "The best-looking car of 1974"

Please no.....
This thing was one of the worst examples of the complete failure of US design and engineering.

A car created by a committee from the marketing group. The marketing group consisting largely of soon to be retired execs and soon to be out of work middle managers keeping themselves alive by justifying their failure to have any actual ideas by using focus groups to support the products of their empty imaginations.

If your nostalgic for '74 .....

In '74 the only North American car worth spit was the Firebird Trans-Am! And Stevie's Higher Ground was just fine through a "Bass Blaster" system!

Cheers! ;)

There were a lot of good cars from '74. The Corvette was one of the best-looking they produced and still packed plenty of power. [External Link] Early '74 MGBs [External Link] and TR6's [External Link] still sported chrome bumpers and acceptable performance. And while not as splendid as the Mark 1, the E-Type was still a very impressive car. [External Link] The Mazda RX4 [External Link] was a nice, sporty car. The Datsun 260Z [External Link] wasn't as true a sports car as the 240Z had been, but it was nothing to sneeze at.
