Whatever else you might say about Bushitler, he HAS kept his nerve. For that alone he deserves a world of credit.

The Captain's Quarters graph pretty much says it all regarding the old discussion, here and elswhere, about the US going into Iraq with insufficient forces. With the Surge's extra muscle, they've been able to quell the violence. I'm saying that if they'd done this initially, Iraq's redevelopment would be at least three years ahead of it's present state and Iran wouldn't have gained it's current foothold. AQ wouldn't have had this opportunity to develop it's techniques (successfully?) and there'd have been a hell of a lot less US, Allied, and civilian casualties.
