So, what do people think of the Obama-Oprah ticket??

Posted at 2007-11-27 12:19:17 [PermaLink]The media loves a horse race, but Hillary has about as much chance of losing the Democratic nomination as Hugo Chavez does his referendum. And I'd rather eat aluminum foil than watch another primary debate.
I propose we rate their spouses, instead. For example, Dennis Kucinich is the leading dingbat in the Democratic primary, but his wife is a knock-out. [External Link]
Fred Thompson's wife is a looker, but I don't know about having a First Lady named "Jeri". [External Link]
Neither of the two front runners have particularly attractive spouses, but with Rudy that's always subject to change, and Hillary may have better taste in women than she does in men. [External Link]
Is this demeaning and degrading? Of course, but no more so than having the future leader of the free world answering questions from Tim Russert and Wolf Blitzer or begging for votes in some shopping center in Iowa or New Hampshire?
Do exes count? If so, my guy wins hands down.

A blog headline with the words "blow" and "Clinton" just doesn't have the same impact it once did.

Posted at 2007-11-28 09:01:30 [PermaLink]Yikes, how did Kucinich pull that off? A short, 60 year old politician marries a tall 29 year old red head looker. Here's how:
"In his inner office sat a shelf bearing an illustration depicting "light consciousness" and a bust of Gandhi."
"She studied the lean and intense congressman and felt an attraction."
"Dennis had also closely observed Elizabeth, a statuesque Englishwoman with waist-length red hair."
"I saw her eyes go to the light consciousness picture, then to the Gandhi bust, then to me," he says. "It was like one, two, three. That's when I knew."

Blair's Law makes its first appearance in the campaign: [External Link]
"'I'm thinking about Ron Paul' as a running mate, Kucinich told a crowd of about 70 supporters at a house party here, one of numerous stops throughout New Hampshire over the Thanksgiving weekend. A Kucinich-Paul administration could bring people together 'to balance the energies in this country,' Kucinich said." [External Link]
