Elmasry actually retired a few years ago, so he's no longer faculty at Waterloo (to the delight of many).
I don't believe he ever retracted his anti-semitic remarks about Israeli civilians in the end (said something along the lines of "I'm sorry that my remarks were deemed offensive").
