Comments: The Miami Dolphins are still bad
Comment by Mark Collins:

Something I have never seen before: Brian Westbrook of the Eagles deliberately going down on the one-yard line rather than score a touchdown (that would have given the Eagles an eleven point lead over the Cowboys) just as the two-minute warning was coming up and Dallas had no time-outs. Result: by simply running out the clock through QB kneel-downs Philadelphia won the game with (almost) no risk. Very clever and good on Westbrook and whoever (if anybody but I doubt that) told him to do it.

Always something new in this wonderful world.

One of the smartest plays I've ever seen. I had always wondered if some player would be smart enough to realize that taking a knee rather than scoring would be a good idea (and for those of you who aren't sure, please remember the Colts-Bucs game from 2003. Or maybe the Boise State game last year, although that's not quite the same).

Comment by Damian P.:

My first instinct was that he was trying to show off by walking backwards into the end zone, and exclaimed (even though I was alone), "What the Hell was that?" It took me another moment or so before I realized what he was doing.

And super Mario did it again, 3.5 sacks.

Oh, and regarding Westbrook, I thought maybe he caught Jessica Simpson lifting her Romo jersey to flash out of the corner of his eye and just tripped.

I've just been listening to sports radio - Jeff Blair of the Globe and Mail stated this play was the idea of the right tackle (didn't get his name) who reminded Westbrook of it.
