At the rate that Western Europe is declining, I am sure the "global warming" issue will resolve itself by 2050.

Heh. There's nothing like being hectored at by whiny, self-righteous, wrinkled old biddies. Aren't they all dead from the hole in the Ozone Layer, or something?

...because they've always done such a great job of it in the past.

The funny thing is, I think everyone knows already how things are going to turn out. The Euros will posture and cut their CO2 emissions slightly, at vast expense. Canada will do the same, except that if the Conservatives keep power, we won't posture. The Americans will do little, and the Chinese will do absolutely nothing to control CO2. In about 50 years time, when the problem starts to get serious, the Americans will fix it, all by themselves, with some high-tech geo-engineering scheme. The Chinese will still do nothing. The Euros will complain about the Americans. The NDP will still be saying that the whole thing was George Bush's fault.

MarkCh: The NDP, after 50 years? I know they're pathological but that would be true insanity. Then again you might be correct.
