The graphic about Napoleon's Russian campaign is also available as a poster from Edward Tufte's website which is an excellent resource for chart junkies.

Anyone who deals with the graphic representation of numbers should be required to become familiar with the work of Tufte. The number of horrid, meaningless and distorting graphics has multiplied with the use of computer graphing software by innumerates.
