"McCain leaps out at you as the one with the experience and the judgment to deal with this."
What an hysterical projector. Experience? Judgment? The "one"? For starters, Rudy fans will laugh Andrew backwards.
Granted, I'm leaning Fred... i just don't see Sully's point. Then again, I almost never do.
For once I find myself in agreement with Sullivan. The ONLY other option would be Gulliani and to be completely honest here, I liked him a LOT better 6 months ago than I do now. McCain on the other hand has had the opposite trajectory in my personal universe. I thought him overly attached to the perfidious 'media'. and esentially a convenient 'conservative' for the MSM to trot out whenever they wanted to bash Bush.
Now after the Surge success which he argued for years ago, and his denunciation of ethanol in Iowa as a costly boondoggle, I think he is the MAN With A Plan. His 'polls' compared to Hillary or Obama are not hurting any either, truth be told. There really is something to the 'straight talk express'. It's not all hype. That really does count for something.
IMO Gulliani is finished. He is 'damaged' goods and is visibly collapsing week by week. The support he has will eventually go to McCain.
Go Johnny.
