Comments: Barack's Blowout
Comment by Bruce Rheinstein:

For various reasons, Obama has not been subject to the sort of close examination and criticism that Clinton has received. At present, he's a sort of Rorschach test onto which people project their feelings about what they want in a first black President.

Some of the information is out there, but hasn't widely filtered into public knowledge, yet. For example, his membership in a creepy, race-obsessed, Afrocentric church; his cozy relationship with his slumlord patrons, Antoin Rezko and Daniel Mahru; his pandering on the Iraq issue, calling at times for supporting the troops, a phased withdrawal, and for a precipitous withdrawal even if it results in genocide; etc.

The mainstream media needs to stop treating him with kid gloves and give him the same sort of critical examination they're giving the other serious candidates.

The interesting item of this primary, noting the final count as Hillary at 27% and Edwards at 20% is the white vote split. Edwards won this primary in '04. In '08 he captured the male blue collar worker (State has 6.6% unemployment) while Hillary captured the older poorer white women, and Obama caught the young educated white vote. This is no Jesse Jackson, no matter how the Arkansas swamp dwellers spin him.
