"Better to sit back and let the Democratic Party tear itself apart."
Hot dogs! Get your hot dogs here!
Oops!
Was that an insensitive stereotype of Americans?
I can't keep track of the cultural faux-pas without a program.
If you need me, I'll be eating grits.
8's, don't tell me you're a Yank too. Hot dogs... Tells yer, Abels & Hyman [sp?] make an amazing dog.
We 'll be firing up the 'cue, maybe this Sunday. With any luck.
Ran,
Haven't you heard? The French proclaimed "We're all yanks now?"
And to prove it, they've started burning their cities on a regular basis in sympathy.
It's a good thing they don't suffer racial problems for real like the Yanks.
I'll have to try Abels & Hyman. Thanks for the tip.
For the Canadian hoi polloi there are still Schneider's Red Hots (last at link--three dogs a day might put your life at risk, depending on what else you ingest):

Ottawa
Mark,
You forget Maple Leaf BBQ size weiners (8 pack).
Does anyone have a good Easter recipe for watermelon and fried chicken?
McTraitor stays quiet because he hates whitey's ass as much as the Rev. Wright & Obama. He is the epitome of the Homo Monetarus.
"Arizona Senator John McCain, however, took the prize for most contemptible answer.
I caught up with the Straight Talk Express in Darlington, SC. McCain finished his stump speech and said he’d take some questions.
My hand shot up. He pointed to me. I stood up and asked,
Senator McCain, current immigration policy is doubling US population within the lifetimes of today’s children. Since you support this policy, will you at least say when we should stop?
One billion people? Two billion? Three?
McCain’s eyes narrowed, and his head drew down into his shoulders. “You and I, sir,” he began slowly, emphasizing each word and glaring at me as if I were a poisonous insect, “obviously have differing views on immigration.
"But let me make one thing perfectly clear," he continued, his voice rising, "there is no room in the Republican Party for bigots, xenophobes, or racists."
I’ll say this for the intelligence of South Carolina Republicans as compared to that of New Hampshire Democrats: no one applauded McCain."

I guess you have changed your opinion on BO's speech then when you posted: "...For what it's worth, I think Obama's speech from earlier today strikes a near-perfect tone on the issue..."

I have a good deal of sympathy for Ferraro. Her blunt but not-at-all-racist comment raised a $#!+storm in the media and resulted in her expulsion from the Clinton campaign bus, yet ranting Wright gets portrayed merely as the eccentric old uncle who occasionally says something embarrassing?
Give me a break.
Ellie,
"I have a good deal of sympathy for Ferraro."
Well, I agree that she is being unfairly portrayed when stacked up against Wright. However, I can't muster much sympathy for a central figure in a party that wouldn't have stopped for a moment to crucify a Republican for saying what she said.
This is why it's so much fun to watch the Dems tear themselves apart. Maybe they'll learn something about the destructive nature of their negative campaigning and hyper-emotional identity politics and how it divides rather than unites.

Given McCain's stalwart position on Iraq, I'm assuming DJ must have some other criterion in mind when pronouncing McCain a traitor. It wouldn't have anything to do with your oft-expressed hatred of non-whitey ass, would it, DJ?
Sean Hannity had pollsters Zogby and Rasmussen on his radio program today. Their initial discussion focused on the downward spiral of Obama in the polls, both in relation to Clinton and in a potential match-up against McCain. Then, one of them (can't recall which) came out of left field with a potential salvation strategy for Democrats:
Prominent Dems in Congress convince Obama to release all his delegates to Gore, on the condition that Obama gets the VP slot on the ticket. Hillary (this is where it gets really silly) is supposedly assuaged with the promise that she'll take over as Senate Majority Leader. No theory was posited as to the fate of the incumbent in that position. Then again, Reid is such a despicable fucking tool, I doubt even his fellow Dems would have much sympathy for his demotion.
Hannity questioned whether this was anything other than baseless conjecture on the part of the pollster. Zogby (or Rasmussen) replied that no, this was being seriously mulled by high ranking Democrats who are extremely concerned that the election may be slipping away from them as we speak.
In a perfect world, events unfold as the pollster predicts, but only up to a point. Gore parachutes into the race in the 11th hour and Obama plays along and releases his delegates. Hillary refuses to follow suit, fights on, and against all odds, wins the nomination in August, as snow storms follow Gore wherever his fleet of private campaign jets land. McCain beats her in the general election. However, Hillary does take the consolation prize of Senate Majority Leader, when Harry "This War Is Lost" Reid, provides this year's "October Surprise," after getting caught by U.S Marines along the Syrian border, dressed in Arab garb, attempting to smuggle foreign fighters and would-be suicide bombers into Iraq.
"It wouldn't have anything to do with your oft-expressed hatred of non-whitey ass, would it, DJ?"
Oft-expressed where Mikey? Still the inveterate liar and misautogenist it appears.
No, it's simply genophilia.
P.S. Canuck fatalities in the Stan, still overwhelmingly white it appears. Where is the equality of sacrifice?
Maybe a self-loathing traitor like you can answer the man's question Mikey. How many is too many?
Posted at 2008-03-20 23:04:56 [PermaLink]Obama is a typical black person.
Posted at 2008-03-20 23:28:08 [PermaLink]DJ; you have a real knack for lowering the tone of a discussion.
Posted at 2008-03-20 23:33:03 [PermaLink]Better we should talk about hot dogs. By the way, do you pay the kosher tax on those Maple Leaf wieners?
Dan?
You're confused DJ, (what else is nu, eh). I only buy locally made kosher hot dogs. OMNITSKY KOSHER LTD.[External Link]

You're kidding, right? Let's make a side bet, DJ. How many more comments will I need to make in this thread before I manage to bait you into reverting to Jew-bashing mode?
Uh oh...., upon further perusal of the comments, I see that I'll have to give you a rain check on that one. Try not to make it so easy next time. When it comes to racist commentary, you've got a bad case of blog premature ejaculation. You can't help yourself, can you?
"P.S. Canuck fatalities in the Stan, still overwhelmingly white it appears. Where is the equality of sacrifice?"
You never did get back to me when I pointed out to you, many months ago, that Canadians of Caribbean origin were over-represented as a percentage of CF fatalities. Why is that?
BO yesterday said his gramma - who's racial attitudes he equated to his pastor - is a "typical white person" [External Link]
thus saying that all white people are as bigoted as his pastor. It's going to be civil war in Denver this summer...
Apparently it's now a T-shirt:

Posted at 2008-03-21 08:45:09 [PermaLink]I've no idea, Dawg. Coming from DJ, who knows. Might be something from one of the Star Trek movies.
In any event, if DJ accuses someone of anything negative, the accusation is usually either a false one, or something to wear as a badge of honour.
I'll take "misautogenist" for $1.00 DJ., mis-auto-genist..."Ding!"...I give-up.

'Cause you're wrong. Mark even gave you a clue but you still couldn't do the math. :)
Mikey's law (originally Derbyshire's Law) that, "ANYTHING WHATSOEVER said by a Gentile about Jews will be perceived as antisemitic by someone, somewhere."
Shhh...don't mention the kosher tax. It's verboten!
"Racist commentary, Jew-bashing," it's an honour to be placed in the company of such great men. After all it was the racists and Jew bashers that ended the Nazi reign and you and your kosher friends, whose ancestors largely slept out that war, should get down on bended knee and kiss their feet.
Gentiles must be relieved to know that the Ziploc sandwich bags, Alcan Aluminum Foil, Tide detergent and Cascade dish washing powder they buy, to name but a few, are kosher. Look for the sign of the U in a circle or COR in a circle. I know I am. :)
Those interested should contact the Kashruth Council of Canada for certification.

Good God, not the old "kosher tax" bullshit. What's next--the Holocaust was a myth?

Bullshit. It's you who can't do the math. I haven't been able to track down the thread in question, but that's a temporary situation. Why don't you save me the time, and link to it? Or would you rather postpone your embarrassment for as long as possible?

Just keep talkin' DJ. I don't need to say a thing....
Kosher tax? No people, it's not verboten. Let's talk about it. Where to begin?
As we know, companies often seek the endorsement of their products from various agencies representing constituencies of customers. If one looks at products, especially food products, you'll find trademarks of various types. Companies pay various rates for various trademarks to cover the costs of certification.
The O-U mentioned represents the Orthodox Union... www.ou.org
This particular trademark means that the product contains no inappropriate food products under the Kosher food laws. It also means that the food and it's containers were not processed using inappropriate food products - such as lard on the cookie sheets.
There are similar constituencies who also have their dietary and religious concerns clarified by similar trademarks. Deej, old boy, do some homework: "Vegans" and vegetarians also have symbols, such as the heart-V and VEGAN trademarks. Likewise Muslims offer Halal symbols - not uncommon on cheese products.
This is common knowledge for anyone knowledgeable in food and packaged goods marketing. That is, for someone who actually knows that the f*ck they're talking about. Unlike you, Deej.
Heh - it's obvious that your ignorance in this area mirrors that in other areas.
