Comment by Queensman:

An elite Canadian liberal commando unit ("True Grits") led by dashing Col. Jack Layton provided ground support by lasering the Penny to aid the American bombers.

"Yes, of course this was a spectacular violation of Canadian sovereignty and an act of unilateral, preeemptive force carried out by the hated Yankees of the kind that we have been railing against for years", Layton later commented, "but as long as they got that bastard Penny, we're cool with it."

"I need to find out who is lobbying to keep the penny."

Because, God knows, it can't be that *the people* want to keep the penny. Must be some special interest group.

Save the Pennys!

Count me in as pro-Penny. But I still like Obama over Clinton. I will assume, therefore, that he, being human and therefore fallible, was misled by his handlers. Let Obama be Obama, I say! (And let Penny be Penny.) : )

Quel surprise!

I'm sure southern sheriffs of American states are surely disappointed.

"I still like Obama over Clinton."

Hillary might not like that at all. For several reasons.

It's already happening....

"A New Democrat MP from Winnipeg is calling on the federal government to phase the penny out of Canadian currency.

"'The time has come for the penny to go the way of the shinplaster,' Winnipeg Centre MP Pat Martin told CBC News Thursday."

You think a few little missiles could stop the Daimnation!? Soon you will learn that the old saying was always misspelled: "In for a Penny, in for a pounding!"

Comment by Peter:

If we could persuade Obama to spend more time on a lot of left-wing sites maybe he'd leave the penny alone and try and take out the loonie.
