Yes, they would be. My concern is more along the line of people that don't die of heart attacks or cancer, planes that don't fall out of the sky or law abiding citizens that don't run amok. Yes, the nasty things that don't happen are of more importance than the relative few that do.

Damn, Mark Steyn beat me to the punch: "God Almighty, if we have to have ex-mayors of Toronto as anti-thought-crime enforcers, couldn't we at least have Mel Lastman?"

Barbara Hall must be related somehow to Jimmy Carter - both equally clueless.

Why is anyone surprised? Remember Barbara Hall's reign as mayor of Toronto? She banned the Salvation Army from holding Christmas charity events in Nathan Phillips Square because the Army has no gay officers. Even gay activists were appalled by this, but Red Barb was adamant.
