Something tells me I wouldn't want to hit a skateboard while being in that Geo Metro. Safety and passenger comfort mean weight which I expect is the reason for the Metro's fuel economy. By comparison, today's MINI weighs 900 lbs. more than the Metro.

top speed: 24 mph.
