Comments: Coincidence?
Comment by Bruce Rheinstein:

Four years ago they would have tried to pin this on Karl Rove, but now it's the Clintons.

Was Wright's standing ovation from an audience of 12,000, who paid $150 a plate at an NAACP dinner a few days ago, also a Clintonian plot? He covered some of the same material, notably the supposed biological differences between brains in blacks and whites, for which is now denounced. (DJ would be proud).

As for the Press Club, two years ago Wright was obscure. At a news conference before the dinner, Rev. Wendell Anthony, president of the Detroit NAACP, described Wright as the "hottest brother in America right now." No wonder the Press Club invited him to speak.

Another conspiracy theory, this time blaming the Obama campaign:

Comment by DaninVan:

It doesn't matter who organized the event. Wright had the opportunity to support Obama's campaign, or torpedo it. His choice. No one else's.
Obama has had past opportunities to disavow Wright's rhetoric or acknowledge it. His choice. No one else's.

BO did not denounce or disown Mr. Wright only his comments.
