Comments: It's not always about EU

Re: "American neo-conservatives" got the Irish to reject the Lisbon Treaty"

More likely the Irish saw this video of the Euro parliamentarians in action (or inaction). The video (with English subtitles) concerns European Parliament members showing up for work at quarter to seven in the morning. Well, not actually showing up for work, rather they are signing in to get paid and them leaving for the weekend, suitcases in tow.

This camera man and reporter followed them and the results are amusing. Think of cockroaches diving for cover when the lights are turned on - the Green Party member looks like an animal caught in headlights as she panics and dives back into the elevator. Then again, what do you expect for a measly salary of 14,000 euros per month.

Yep, they're behind it all: EU vote results, Muslim riots, Hurricane Katrina -- is there anything neocons CAN'T do?!

And they stole the only good melon of the year, too! Right from under his nose!

I lived in Dublin for two years. I was shocked at how anti-American, often viscerally, the Irish were. I, for one, seriously doubt we influenced their EU vote.
