"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Such poison!
Yet the Saudi princes spend most of their leisure time in areas of the world where this poison prevails.
The problem is our economy is dependent on Saudi oil - a post criticising Saudi Arabia directly above a post on formula 1 racing - you don't see the irony Damian?
Posted at 2005-05-02 11:06:22 [PermaLink]I'm interested in the rate at which Bush lets the Saudis know what we know.
Early in the Afghanistan fighting, the US captured a Saudi. He was put on a plane and flown around and around for hours, debarked at night and went to an interrogation room. A couple of US operatives, dressed in Saudi uniforms and speaking Saudi Arabic talked to him. He was glad to see some homies and gave them references of well-connected guys back in the Kingdom. Within about a month, those three Saudis were dead. A single-car accident, lost in the desert and died of thirst, and an unexplained medical mischance.
Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I think I see a nuanced position, taking into account the Saudi position and leverage and ours, with the balance shifting our way. Certainly, the mention of somebody's nephew babbling to interrogators would cause heartburn.
Notice how Liberal left and Dara have no comment on this latest episode of Islamic love??
Gee........ I wonder why???
Must be a bitch being a blind dhimmi all the time!!
