Comments: Extremists on the march
Comment by Jonny:

I think one feeds the other. People who are impressed by anti-semitism are probably more likely to vote BNP and less likely to defend Islamic civil rights.

Does this mean that the radical islamists are a bigger threat than the white supremacists?
And will they get the same press coverage?

Hollywood still won't make a movie with Moslems as heavies despite . . . well, you know why. Instead they fall back for villains on neo-Nazis, that eensy-weensy threat only the media finds worth worrying about. So the answer to the question is white supremicsts are the biggest threat to the world today. Let's just hope one of the countries they control don't get hold of a nuclear weapon and a missle to deliver it with.

Regarding Pim Fortuyn, his killer will get out in 6-8 years.
That's a crime.

What I never understood about these elections was the fawning approval of Oona King on the part of Galloway's opponents. Since when has she been anything to write home about?

It seems that Labour, in an effort to counter Respect, chose to run a candidate who, if her past statements are any indication, wasn't all that much better.

Melanie has by far the best analysis.
