Now that violence is directed at European targets, I have heard nothing about the "cycle of violence" and "violence begets violence". All the threats and embassy burnings go only one way. So much for all that sage advice about conflict resolution.

HIGH FIVE TO WERNER!
Actually I remember Stuart Lee saying something very similar to this more than ten years ago, he had done some parodies of christian parables and a viewer had written in to complain and ask if he would be willing to satirise islam in the same way and he said something like- "Well we do of course respect all religions, particularly those religions with guns". At the time I thought it was a fairly amusing quip, I didn't realise that he actually meant it.

When it came to Islam, however, while there was a little joking involved, no illustrations whatsoever of Mohhammed. He appeared "off camera" (author's words).
Still amusing though.
