It also begs the question, if Bush didn't do enough in the eight months he was in office prior to 9/11, what is the excuse of the Clinton administration- in office nearly eight years before the attacks?

Here's Presidential Daily Briefing Gore refers to:

Aside from the historical information, it's maddeningly vague.

The only surprising thing about this memo is that it was classified at all, since nearly everything but the last two items could've been drawn from newspaper reports, or simply guessed at as common sense. I do have to wonder why this memo was chosen for that day.

Still, given the tone and information in it, about the only thing Bush could do is say, "Tell the FBI to keep at it."

I have always been a little sheepish about not voting in the 2000 election. I was living abroad, and kept putting off registering to vote. If I had voted, I would've voted for Gore, and then I'd feel a lot more sheepish.

Thank God he lost

I remember the first time I had that same thought. It was about 9:30am, Sept 11,2001.

Al Gore is a perfect example of the failure of nepotism. Some say it works because of inherited traits. It can also fail for the same reason. Check his daddy's record.

He has never never had to deal with the real world. Why do people expect him to be realistic?
