I'm actually ashamed to say I haven't visited Gros Morne (I guess they're going to strip my status as a Newfoundlander over that one). In my defense, I don't get out to the west coast very often.
In any event, these pictures are definitely an impetus for me to get out there and take in the beautiful views offered by our very own UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As an interesting side note, geologists are increasingly using Newfoundland as the standard when referring to geological eras. We've got a far more complete rock record than England (which is the current standard) does. And since youve seen the Tablelands at Gros Morne, you know why.
My love to the Rock... and all who sail aboard her.

What a beautiful place! It has a very austere, brooding quality to it. What are those animals on the summit? Elk?
