Comments: Not just another Middle Eastern country
Comment by Alan:

In other middle eastern countries that particular parade ends at a gallows.

The only country in the entire region where people feel safe enough to even mention having a 'Pride' parade - always gets slammed by people in North America who attend Pride parades.

Are those North Americans slow, or just ignorant?

And yet there is a group called Queers for Palestine. You can find it at www.quitpalestine.com.

Between the side that has Gay Pride parades and the side that would happily kill anyone who even spoke about organizing one, they support the latter and favor the extinction of the former. I have no idea why unless they're either antisemtic or stupid. Maybe they're both.

Queers for Palestine make about as much sense as Jews for Jesus. Its just bizarre!

Which is a good illustration of the old aphorism, "Just because you're on their side, doesn't mean they're on your side."

What the hell is "bizarre" about Jews for Jesus? Jews have been converting to Christianity since the day it became possible. Commonplace, ordinary, business as usual... but "bizarre"?
